Royal Palm Hotel

We spent two ten day stays in Mauritius, and this was our second hotel. We had previously read the reviews on trip advisor so our expectations were high as this trip was to celebrate our Saphire(45 years) wedding anniversary. We were not disappointed, The service at the hotel is really first class, from the boys on the beach to the restaurant staff, they really give first class service. The hotel is expensive for meals and drinks, but this is to be expected for such a standard of hotel. We could not fault the hotel in any way, and the number of returning guests at the hotel is testament to it's popularity. It is expensive, but we will return the next time we have a special date to celebrate. The hotel is vey close to Grand Baie, and you can walk in ten minutes if you want cheaper dining or drinks. The island of Mauritius, and the people are lovely and so friendly, and you do not feel unsafe if you walk after dark. I would recommend the hotel and Island to anyone.
